Waif's Home

A story — of timeless example.

The Waif's Home is a private initiative that takes its name from the New Orleans home where a young Louis Armstrong got a start. Its purpose is to trace what grew from there: a life that reshaped music and culture, told through accompanying records, photographs, and brass. Much of what I know about Louis, I learned by building this collection - capturing dates, sources, and connections, so the story can keep being told.
